System design — How all components connect — models, data pipelines, APIs, storage, orchestration, human touchpoints
Stack decisions — Build vs. buy, which models, which infra, which vendors — and why
Trade-off ownership — Speed vs. correctness, cost vs. capability — owns the consequences
Standards enforcement — Defining what 'done' looks like across the engineering org
Consequence ownership — Accountable for what breaks at 2am six months later
